The universe has the shape of a 4 pointed star, called a Diamond star, where each of it’s points holds a dimension of it’s own, with it’s own natural rules.

The Diamond Star - The universe
Inside the Diamond Star, the Stars of the universe are the most basic and primal form of existence, being the base for matter and energy to exist.
In each dimension, the Star Power takes a shape or another, meaning, the whole composition of matter and energy vary from a dimension to another, depending on the shape of it’s stars.

Many races exist in this dimension.
They don’t have a set way of ruling this dimension; towns, cities, and even whole kingdoms exist, but it is not rare to see many creatures just living in anarchy.
Wild magic is the most common kind of magic in the Wild dimension, and it is naturally present on it.

The dominant race are the humans. They have divided their world in countries, and periodically choose rulers for each one.
Home to the laws of physics. It’s the only dimension where the star power does not take the shape of magical energy, but instead it takes the shape of “atoms”.
Atoms are the most basic form of matter in the Forge Dimension. Since there is no magic, things don’t just appear or dissappear. For something to be created, something else must be consumed. This way, nothing is ever truly destroyed or created, things just change into new ones.
The Forge dimension does not support the existence of magic at all. The attempt of incorporating magic into the Forge Dimension creates a reality discordance, as the dimension itself will try to erase the intruding magic by itself as a cleaning mechanism, corrupting magic until it is completely gone.
However, there is a strange phenomenon known as “leak”, where magic from the Wild, Celestial, or Arcane dimensions , leak into the Forge dimension, corrupting, but not getting completely erased, causing an unpredictable amount of consequences in the Forge dimension, starting from small inexplicable inconveniences, to full living entities made of corrupted magic. In the Forge dimension, those leaks are known as “paranormal activity”

In order to protect the universe from destruction, four guardians gather at center og the universe where no other creature can ever reach.
Each one watches over their own dimension, but cannot interfere with the living world unless a world-destruction level treath occurs.
Once they choose a succesor, they bring them to the council, if the succesor agrees, they take their place and become a councilor; making a vow to protect their dimension and the universe.

Traveling between dimensions is possible through portals fabricated by extremely powerful mages.
They are ussually located on important cities and are commonly used for commerce and turism. Migration between dimensions is possible and safe.
It’s impossible, though, to travel to or from the Forge Dimension; since it’s natural laws are incompatible to magic, making the travel extremely unsafe.
