Magic is star power that allows a mage to alter reality at will through the knowledge or nature. Magic is not exclusive to a single race, but not all races can acceed to it the same way.
There are three ways of acceeding magic:

A mage is any single user of magic, regardless of what kind of magic it uses, or how they obtained it.
However, there are only two big kinds of mages:

Invoker
A mage that has and controls innate magic.

Wizard
A mage that uses aquired or learnt magic.

There are different ways of manifesting magic.
Spell: An active use of magic with an inmediate effect.
Ritual: A prolonged use of magic that requires preparation and a process. It’s effects often last longer and can be more complex than a simple spell.
Enchantment: Magic applied to an object, place or creature, giving it a special effect or property.
Magical Focus: Object that canalizes the use of magic allowing to control it easier.
Magic also comes with extremely variable consequences to it’s use, the most common being:
Magic overcharge: A state caused by excessive use of magic that can damage the user both mentally or physically.
Magical Silence: A condition to the mage where they are completely unable to use their magic.
Corruption: A progressive alteration to the user where the magic starts altering their body and mind. Unlike the magic overcharge, the corruption effect is permanent and can completely consume the user eventually.

There are also different kinds of magic, all of them coming from a different place.
Wild magic comes from within the user, similar to running or excersicing. It requires control and knowledge.
Wild magic is the most basic form of magic, all kinds of invokers can naturally use it, and other kinds of mages can use it through different ways. It is the most common and versatile kind of magic.
Unlike celestial or arcane magic, true magic is not regulated by a bigger force, therefore it’s limit is none other but the user’s own stamina or resistance, wich can make it unstable.
Celestial magic comes from the Light Priestess, since she is the celestial magic itself.
For one to use Celestial magic, a vow must be sworn, and the magic will only be usable for as long as the vow is true to the user’s heart, therefore, if the vow is broken, the Holy Court will judge the user and revoke it’s magic.
Arcane magic comes from the Dark Emperor, since he is the arcane magic itself.
For one to use Arcane magic, one must sacrifice something in return, and the magic granted will only be equivalent to the importance of the sacrifice given, therefore, the Royal Army will make sure all of it’s users have given their own sacrifice in order to be worthy of using the magic.
